Community Awards
The Chamber of Commerce's Community Awards is an annual event that takes every October. It is a platform that recognizes outstanding contributions made by individuals and organizations to our community. We are proud to celebrate and honour those who have made a positive impact in our local community.
The 2024 Community Awards are looking a little different this year with all new categories!
Small Business of the Year Award (1-10 employees)
This award is presented to a business that has demonstrated superior service to customers, excellence in business management and/or put extra efforts towards the betterment of the Arthur Area.
Large Business of the Year Award (11+ employees)
This award recognizes a large corporation or business which is seen as an integral part of the community through their demonstrated leadership skills and by fostering a positive work environment for their employees and their clients.
Young Citizen Of
The Year
This award celebrates a young citizen (21 years of age or younger as of Sept. 1, 2024) who has demonstrated leadership and dedication to the community by participating regularly as a volunteer or inspired others by launching and growing a business in Arthur and area. (40 hours high school community service NOT included in this category)
Citizen of the Year
This award will be given to a citizen of Arthur and area who makes an outstanding contribution while volunteering in their community. The achievement may include unpaid work in community service, sports, art, culture, education, heritage, conservation or the environment.
Excellence in Agriculture Award
This award is given to an outstanding agricultural farm family organization who has demonstrated excellence in the area of agricultural operations and business management as well as participates in the betterment of the agricultural industry and the betterment of our township.
