Starting July 1, 2025, the responsibility for residential recycling will shift from Wellington County to packaging producers under Ontario’s new Blue Box Transition.

✅ Wellington County will continue to support local businesses by offering curbside recycling collection in 14 downtown areas, including Mount Forest. Business owners must register in advance to keep this service.

🏢 Outside of these areas? Businesses can register for a Minimum Fee Exemption Card to drop off recyclables for free at County waste facilities.
